Frequently Asked Questions
Where do you offer your workshops?
I offer most of my workshops in Oaxaca de Juárez and in Mazunte in southern Mexico. Occasionally I offer workshops in other areas of Mexico - if you want me to travel elsewhere, write me an email and we can see if that could be an option.
I’ve never been to a workshop like this. How do I know if I’m ready?
I can’t tell you if you’re ready or not - only you can know that. Trust your gut feeling. It’s normal to be nervous and sometimes all we need is a leap of faith. However, if it feels overwhelming or threatening, you might not be ready. What I can promise you is that I will take your concerns seriously and NEVER push you into anything that you feel uncomfortable with. You can leave the workshop at any time and there is never any pressure to participate in exercises you don’t feel comfortable with.
Do I have to participate in all the exercises?
You do not! Whenever you feel uncomfortable, triggered or simply unwilling to do an exercise you can take a break or even leave the workshop altogether. I will always give an opportunity to opt out or to modify the exercises so that they can fit your individual needs.
I operate on the principle of informed consent which means that I will inform you about what to expect at every step of the way - so you can decide whether something feels right for you or not BEFORE we go into it. You have the opportunity to say no in every single moment of the workshop. It is a central part of my workshop to teach participants about consent.
Do I have to touch or be sexual with other people?
Absolutely not! I will encourage you to only do whatever you feel comfortable with. An important part of all of my workshops is to practice informed consent which means that you know what you’re getting into BEFORE the exercises and you have the opportunity to say no or step out of the exercise or workshop at any point. It is my highest priority to create a safer space where informed and ongoing consent is practiced. I will never push your boundaries.
